Hibarigaoka House
A house with a stairwell connecting spaces and two stairs
2022.4.15
This house is located in Hibarigaoka, Nishitokyo City, where residential areas and fields coexist. Due to the site conditions, we decided to make the space three-dimensional and use it as a three-story building. The first floor is the space where the family is mainly, and from there, the stairs are used to set up a study corner shared by the family on the second floor. We are trying to create a sense of unity between the upper and lower floors through the atrium. On the second floor, the children’s room is adjacent to the study corner to give a flat sense of unity and make it feel wider. Take a spiral staircase from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. There is a storage space and a master bedroom that utilize the large attic space.
